About Us

American Women’s Association (AWA)

AWA is a vibrant and active women’s group for all nationalities. AWA organizes social and special interest activities and events. There is also a dedicated community outreach volunteer program and our special events and membership fees raise money for our five Food Support programs for babies, children, families and the elderly within the Nairobi community. The purpose of AWA is to unite its members for promoting fellowship, furthering cultural interests and participating in community activities of Nairobi, Kenya. AWA is also a member of FAWCO, the Federation of American Women’s Clubs Overseas. FAWCO is a recognized NGO and has a voice and presence at the UN. AWA is part of a bigger, global body of international women making a difference in the lives of women around the world. Find out more about them here.
